This place is pretty average, but it definitely used to be better. They make major mistakes quite often. My family goes here occasionally for takeout and dine in. There is nothing too bad about the service; I find more of a problem with the food recently. Last time I went there their salads had shrunk significantly. I also got a side of broccoli that costs close to $3 and it was just one small bushel. I felt a tad ripped of. My mom got chicken on her salad that was completely pink in the middle. She sent it back because it was obviously raw. My sisters steak was also pretty bad. Often when you get take out they give the worst pieces or steaks, maybe hoping that you won't be able to complain because you are at home already. They also forget dressing and sides quite often, so check your bag before you leave! I really would like to give the restaurant more stars because the food generally tastes pretty OK. Unfortunately, they make too many annoying mistakes and the food quality seems to be going downhill!

Slow. Eveything was. The waitress was so nice and super sweet. The food was delish! Except that my sirloin was rare and i said medium well. I had it sent back by the manager and it came back with the outside crispier and the inside....red still. But i ate it anyway since i was hungry and my fam was done eating. All the food flavors were good and the cake pops were delightful.

Reviewing Outback is like reviewing a 7-11 (and yet, people still do it) because they're all the same! This is more a comment on service, not the food. We eat here regularly because my wife loves the cheese fries! We get carry-out mostly and they often screw up the order. I think that the telephone is the problem. I found that ordering on the website eliminates this weak link in the chain and the order is much more likely to be prepared properly. We ate in last week and the call-ahead seating was a good plan on a Friday night; we only waited 10 minutes and it was crowded. The hostesses seemed harried and a bit grumpy, but they were doing better than I would have been under the same circumstances! Given the crowd, the service was fine and everything arrived promptly.

I find it ridiculous that I am sitting AT the bar with a family with kids - probably 2,4,7 years old. AT the grown up bar. Bartenders say restaurant condones it. Will not be back! I want to sit at a bar with grown ups, not babies.

Too many returned meals. Too many weird mistakes. This restaurant is NOT up to Outback standards. Drive across the bridge to California MD and visit that Outback. No comparison.

Three stars for this chain restaurant. I'm just glad Calvert is finally getting on the map. Service was good. Food was Outback meh - not great, not bad. Clam chowder was yummy. Bread is always a hit. Their draft beer selection was decent with a few seasonals, imports, and domestics. The outdoor waiting area was actually pretty nice. It would be cool if somehow they could make this into outdoor eating space.

We went here for lunch one day and really enjoyed the food. The waitress was wonderful. She actually got a nice tip from us, only because she did everything she could to accommodate us and our 2 year old.

We usually have a decent experience here. Nothing exceptional but nothing to complain about. Until now. Now I definitely have a complaint and a tip to offer future patrons. Don't order carry-out steak near the end of the night. I've been told recently that I should use that tip always, for any restaurant. Lesson learned. We ordered 2 steaks, sides, and an appetizer trio. The seared ahi and the sauce that comes with it is amazing. That was the highlight. The filet ordered as "medium" was definitely too well done. The ribeye ordered as "medium-rare" was absolutely, 100% rare and inedible until it was re-cooked at home. There should have been at least 3 degrees of difference between the two steaks. Based on other experiences I'd like to give this restaurant one more star but the price of that dinner for the quality of that food was just too disappointing.

The Prince Frederick Outback has the worst service of any restaurant I have been to in Calvert County...both for sit down dining and take out. After ordering over $100 worth of food to go we, on numerous occasions, got home to find out our order was completely wrong. Staff was not receptive to correcting their mistakes.

Not good ! Went on Xmas eve knowing they were Going to be swamped did the call ahead thing why they have it I'm not sure it's a joke, they seem to go by how many people are in a party and what tables are available instead of what order you came in.One hour later got seated ordered drinks and appetizer got appetizer first no drinks they fellowed 20 minutes later.food was ok but on my chicken tacos the chicken was still bleeding. oh and they forgot to put cheese on them and i couldn't understand why so many people waiting and so many empty tables bad management? 1st time back in a year because the same issue with the chickensomeone buy a thermometer overall can't say to many bad things about the servers they do what they can. Slow bar service order 2 at a time

Ummm... seriously??? My boyfriend (49) and I 39 just left there! They would NOT SERVE my boyfriend alcohol because he didn't have his license! FYI did I mention he's 49 and bald?!!!!! He doesn't drive because he is half blind and doesn't carry a license! The manager was rude, nasty and completely unkind!! No compassion what so ever! I will NEVER step foot in that establishment ever again and I pray she gets fired!!!! The end..... Oh and the bathrooms are horrid....!!

There's really little point in reviewing the food here. It's a chain restaurant. One Outback will be more or less the same as the next. You go in knowing what you're going to get. The praise here is for the service at the Prince Frederick Outback. We occasionally get carryout from here and this is one of the few restaurants we've experienced at which they actually double-check the order item-by-item when it comes out of the kitchen to make sure it is correct. There is nothing more frustrating than getting home and finding out you're missing a key element of your dinner. That never happens with the Prince Frederick outback. They're friendly and highly efficient. (One oddity, though, when you order the barbecue chicken, the barbecue sauce is always omitted UNLESS you order extra sauce. Ordering extra sauce gets you the basic amount of sauce you're supposed to receive.)

The only reason I'm giving it a two star and not a one star is because the waitress was friendly and they tried to help take care of the situation however I ordered the rib eye and it tasted rotten like the meat was in the fridge for over a week and they decided to cook it. They tried to offer me another steak but I wasn't hungry after that. They took it off our tab. The waitress and manager were nice about it though. We still tipped her good because everything else was good.

I have been to this outback several times and it seems like it's getting worse. Why would it take almost 30 mins for a bowl of clam chowder and a pecan salad then you forget to put the pecans on it. The floor was dirty at our both we asked for it to be swept and it never happened. This location sucks and I will never come back in 2015 I will try them again next year

I have to say that I probably asked for it. Going to Outback for my birthday dinner probably wasn't the best decision, and on this visit, that was proven true. Our visit started out with my mother putting our name down with the hostess. We patiently waited for our name to be called, and when the expected wait time passed, my mother asked where we were on the list. As it turned out, our name was put down incorrectly, and a different family got seated when the incorrect name was called. A little frustrating, but at least it was rectified. When we got seated, the server was generally attentive, but our order was brought out piecemeal, with an entree brought as an appetizer, and a side dish was brought out on someone else's plate. Not a gigantic deal, but when you couple that with the abnormally long wait time, it was quite frustrating. The steaks were not bad, but one in our party ordered a medium steak, and got it well done. Our party is generally not that picky in restaurants, but all of us left unsatisfied and probably won't be back here. It's a shame since Calvert County is kind of limited in restaurant options as it is. Oh well.

I come to Outback quite often and today I have been truly disappointed. I ordered the potato soup and salad, the soup had no flavor and the potatoes had an awful taste, the croutons were old. We ordered the spinach dip and it was served as if someone had eaten out of it, the chips were soaked in grease and totally stale. Two daughters ordered the outback special, the fries were cold and dry the steak was suppose to be medium rare, it was served with the RARE, to the point that blood actually oozed out when she it cut the steak. Another daughter ordered the ribs and fries and the fries were also cold and dry. We were not served bread and butter either. A table came in after us and was served drinks, bread and salad while we were still waiting on one appetizer. To bad the servers are always the one to be judged when leaving a review and/or tip. My reason for the 3 stars is because I have always had great service and great food. Maybe the lunch time cook(s) should get a decease in pay for every time they send out crappy food.

Service was very good and food was really good as well. We had an issue with an item, and the manager was awesome! I must say that over the past 6 months, I have had several issues with OTHER places and they just seemed to not care. The manager and waitress both were great and very apologetic and took care of the issue. Couldn't ask for anything more. Keep up the good work.

The only good thing here was the service. Meghan worked hard and stayed calm with our large party. My steak was well done when it was ordered medium rare. Not happy but ok, cooks were under pressure. However when my knife literally bent as I attempted to cut into what could possibly have been shoe leather, that's a different story. My mother in laws prime rib was completely inedible! Sinewy, fatty and impossible to cut, just nasty even if the manager did take it off our check. Their trade mark bloomin' onion? Well that was more like a grease soaked deep fried cactus! The bread was good (hard to screw up prefab) but how do they make honey butter into frozen globs of gross? Couldn't spread it, couldn't shallow it, yuck.
